Updated: Jun 5

Wood fences are a great way to offer privacy or decorative touches to your property. Conyers Fence Company offers several wood fence options including picket, privacy, arched privacy, and shadowbox fences and gates. Wood fences offer the most privacy of our fencing materials while keeping a natural aesthetic to your yard.

All of our wood fences are made from pressure treated pine that is warranted against insect infestations. Each face board is inspected for cracks, splits and warping before installation. We use 4" x 4" vertical support posts that are concrete cry packed for extra support, and 2" x 4" x 16' horizontal support runners are staggered to provide more stability between panels.

Gates

All of the wood gates that Conyers Fence Company installs are made in-house. We use a welded metal frame to provide extra support for the weight of the wood. The frame is made from 055 1 3/8" pipe and 2" x 4" wood material to which the face boards are attached. Standard wood gate latches are able to be opened from the inside or outside of the gate, as well as locked from either side. Butterfly or strap hinges are used to hang the gate to the gate posts, as pictured below. The finished product allows for a continuous fence line without noticeable breaks.

Cedar Options

Conyers Fence Company also provides a cedar option. Face boards are made from cedar instead of the pressure treated boards. Cedar is available in 4', 5' and 6' boards and all of the same cut styles as the pressure treated options. Cedar fencing has the same pressure treated posts and horizontal bracing as our other fences, but have the aesthetic of the cedar face boards. Cedar fencing has an initial red color to the wood that will turn gray over the years as it is exposed to weather and wear. Cedar fencing is termite-resistant; however, cedar is not as resistant to rot and has a shorter life expectancy than the pressure treated fence.
